Well its finally cooled down here with a taste of Fall in the air which is nice for a change. The a/c is off and the windows are open during the day but closed for the night as the chill takes affect. I'm sure this is temporary as this is still a summer month or maybe its the start of what we use call "indian summer".
I started the day with a before 6 rollout to my usual routines that start with some quiet time to honor my LORD after posting this ramble, give thanks and lift several up for healing. One of our small group was taken to the hospital in Winston with some heart irregularities but seems to be doing better as I write. We had a small group on Friday evening with one new person joining us who bared her soul and we joined with her in her fight of an addiction and the need for Jesus in a support group. Afterwards we headed over to Food Lion and picked up some items to make a supper for Katelyn and Jake and meet the new baby Seth as well as love up on Skylar.
I got in my solo hike to the top of the mountain continuing my talk with GOD in the middle of His creation. The sun was breaking over the top of the mountain and it was just a glorious morning here in the mountains. I piddled around outside after getting back checking all of the gardens for any deer damage which thankfully has ceased for the last couple of weeks. I'm finally ridding the yellow jacket nest below the deck which has kept me busy from getting stung and ridding the nest within the stones. I use the best deterrent, gasoline on a rag which did the trick after using all types of insecticides.
Nancy painted on her small cabin for the flower beds which I made a couple days ago and she did a great job. I'll give it a coat of polyurethane to help protect it from the elements and it should last for years as we will store it during the winter months. I did pick another tomato from the plant that we brought from son Bobby's garden in Florida. The huge tomato in the upper patch is finally turning red. It must weight a couple pounds and really is an anomaly. I hope it tastes good. The leafy greens are doing well especially with all of these almost daily showers. The ground is still damp despite no rain now for a couple days. The sunshine is hot, but the shade offers some much needed respite, LATER
