Friday Morning

Well its down right nippy here on the Suncoast of Florida with temps staying down into the low 60's with a rather strong breeze but the sun was shining amidst the clouds at times. It seems more like January than March but I will be looking forward to this weather in another couple of weeks as the heat and humidity will be back once again, but what a nice change from just a few days ago.

I started the day out with my usual 6'ish roll out to a cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble then spent a few quiet moments with my Creator while lifting up several by name. Nothing new on anyone of those but the cold and snow had affected where they live and what they do. I didn't have any pickle ball plans as the Rec. is still closed in Seminole and it was too blustery to play outside so I painted the bed frame and head board a couple of coats of paint and it looking really nice. I did piddle around in the garden for awhile with a coat on as it was that chilly and then I read for the rest of the day. I finished one read and started another of Ed McBain's books which are action packed about the 87th New York City detective bureau and the men who make up that section.

Amy and Eliza came for lunch and we chowed down on the leftover Zuppa. Eliza loves this soup as do all of us. After they left I caught up on some paperwork and read until supper which was a grilled bone in pork chop and fresh beets from the garden and accompanied with some fresh asparagus we feasted, yeow so delicious and not many carbs which we are trying to stay away from. So far we are down and inch or two around the gut and a pound or so as well. I really missed my morning workout but it was too cold to even ride the bike around the hood with the strong breeze. The wind is supposed to drop today and be less chilly but still be below the normal temps for this time of the year. I'm really not complaining because I know what is in store for us later this month with the high heat and humidity.

I tuned into the Fox News channel after the cleanup and the corruption never ceases with the Dem's and lib's in California as well as with the past administration. All the MSM can report is some salacious story about some stripper who our POTUS has an affair with before he even ran for the presidency. Give me a break as they throw stones while living in a glass house. We had a major break through with North Korea as reported with their dictator who wants to talk with Trump and make some amends. Trumps embargo and military threats has this bully on his heels with what to do and we will see if Kim comes through with his willingness to denuclearize his country. Teddy Roosevelt always said walk softly and carry a big stick and that is what our Potus is advocating and its working as well as he wants fair trade and he is making that happen with the tariffs. I whole heartedly agree with his decisions to get our steel and aluminum mills back to full production which benefits American workers and our economy. The left is having a fit with his proclamations and executive orders as there must be some kickbacks to those in democrat party. I never put anything crooked and corrupt out of their reach.

I tuned into the Lightning vs Rangers hockey game and we were winning 5-2 when I shut the lights out at 10, LATER
