Thursday Morning

Well Wednesday was a work day for me as Nancy took off with the girls and Dan to West Jefferson to fram(shopping) around and eat lunch out. I had a great time catching up on some chores and then dug and hauled 6 or 7 loads of fill dirt for some low spots in the yard. It was a beautiful day to be outside working except for the humidity filled temps. It got 80 degrees on the back porch which is unheard of for this time of the year. Next week the forecast is for low 40's to the high's in the 60 which is more like it for October.

I started the day with my usual 6'ish roll out to a cup of green tea laced with turmeric and honey while I spent some quiet time with my Creator in thanksgiving and intercessory prayer for several especially GG, Nancy's mom. The update is about the same as yesterday with nothing changing except she has usually two good days then get a setback for a day or so. It seems this maybe the pattern for the rest of her life. She still hasn't walked since May which is definitely a minus for any rehab. Uncle Mike is doing well with his rehab on the knee as we saw him out at an eatery with a cousin reunion. That's great news. I haven't heard from Paw Paw in a few days but no news is good news is a plus from him.

I unloaded a truck load of pumpkins and then cleaned out the truck from the muddy pumpkin field from last night harvesting, yeow was that ever a chore. I hung a load of laundry after dropping Nancy off in Sparta to ride with the gang south. I made a dump and gas stop before getting back on the hill. It was close to 1 before I ever got to start dirt digging from an area in the back woods yard where I get my fill dirt.  It's hidden from view from the porch as I dig back into a bank which produces good dirt with a few rocks. I have a trail large enough to get the golf cart in to haul the dirt out. That kept me sweating for the next couple of hours until nearly 4 when I decided to cool off in the basement and rest until Nancy and the gang got back here around 5:30.

They picked up fresh hamburger meat and I grilled it and along with tater tots for our supper. We are still eating Michigan 'maters and they are so good and juicy; keeping them in the cool basement is a plus for making them last. They brought some bakery slices of dream sickle cake home for dessert and it was very good as I broke down and shared a piece. After eating we got into a game of Oh -ell of which Carol won on the last hand. It was raucous to say the least. They headed out shortly thereafter and I headed for the shower. It wasn't long afterwards I was ready for some horizontal lab around 10:30, Later
