Well this month is in its last week and I'm getting closer to heading back to the flat land of Florida which is why we call our selves the "flatlanders" instead of "snow birds", oh well. Saturday was another beautiful day weather wise day with cool temps to start the day, Nancy had the faux fireplace on for a couple hours and by late evening she had the a/c on. Her thermostat is out of whack, anyhow after a 6 'ish rollout I did my routines that start with some quiet time to honor my lord, Jesus, give thanks for another day and to lift up several for comfort an healing. All are holding with this post although several without a miracle will never be healed due to serious health issues; but I lift them anyhow.
I did my stretching and then walked about a mile around the property's perimeter, getting in some cardio and keeping the muscles in tone before we had to get ready to head to Cornerstone for a celebration of life for a dear sweet lady friend who passed away at the young age of 74. We had known her for 20 plus years and she was a stalwart warrior for Jesus. Her extended family who once we all knew at church had moved away from Cornerstone but she and her husband remained to the very end and it was a solemn occasion with lots of tears but also lots of hugs, some light moments and renewing of old friendships.
We got back to the cabin around 12:30 and had a quick bite of lunch then since it was dry I wanted to burn on the one stump which I did for about 5 hours. I had it on fire from all sides with all of the lighter knot and hopefully reduced it down another couple inches. I finished the upper stump after several burns and covered the area with dirt and now want to transplant some grasses on to it. That kept me busy until 4'ish when I headed in to watch the LLWS game between Texas and Florida. Well that game started out with Florida down by 4 runs and by the time we left the cabin to visit the Heglar's and the Cardona's to play Sequence the Florida team was up by 5-4 over the Texans. We never got to see the final innings but did learn Florida won big in the end and will play Taipei this afternoon for the championship.
Well the gals whupped us guys 4-1 in Sequence which is understandable as they are serious, but it was fun. We drove the golf cart down now that I have lights working on it as it was pitch black on the way back around 9'ish. Today we have corporate worship both here at the cabin on line and then again at our local Cornerstone and then lunch out with the Frankis Family, LATER
