Saturday Morning

Well Friday was another warm day but not nearly as humid with temps in the upper 80's with bright sunshine and NO rain. We need rain as the state is literally on fire with brush fires everywhere. I did a mixture of play with a great workout at the Forbes Rec. Center in Pinellas Park with several "A" pickle ball players for nearly two hours. The time slot is open on Mondays and Fridays for the very best players in the county and I'm thrilled I was invited to participate in the action. I left with a wet shirt and tired body but it was great to know I could play with guys so much younger than myself as I was the oldest player.

I headed down to Bay Pines VA for a blood draw as I was having my yearly consult as well as having a place on my leg that just wouldn't scab over looked at later in the day. My primary doctor was amazed at my labs and over all health and set me up with a dermatologist to have the sore looked at evaluated. She thinks its a basal cell carcinoma which is a common form of skin cancer and the biopsy which confirm that when I get in to see a specialist. I was thrilled with her assessment of my overall health and she was amazed I was on no prescriptions at my age. I think growing lots of my own veggies, good exercise and the grace of GOD has given me my health as well.

We ate light for lunch with a a bowl of soup and a sandwich before I headed out back to the VA for my consult. Afterwards I chilled for the rest of the afternoon reading and then while I grilled some salmon fillets I hand watered the gardens. The humidity seemed to have left during the evening hours and it became quite pleasant out. We settled into the Fox News until the Ray's game started a little after 7 and then watched them blow out the Red Sox's with a 10-1 score when I cut the lights out around 10'ish.

Today we head over to Brandon to watch grandson Gabe play baseball and Bobby manage the team. I'm not looking forward to the drive with such traffic congestion but hopefully with it being Easter Weekend most of the northerners have left or getting ready to leave the area and our roads will become less congested. The engineers who put together the interstate in Tampa have got to be the worst in the world as the backups are for miles long especially during rush hours. We will attend and work the evening service at Bridgepoint Church today then meet up with the Botbyl's and Tracy's for a late supper at the Bonefish Grille and then on Sunday we will work two services at the Rec. for our inaugural service at the Seminole campus, LATER
