Well Tuesday turned out to be a very nice day just a little cool to start the day with temps in the 40's but did warm up enough the knats and other bugs were annoying by late afternoon. I believe it reached the low 60's with tons of sunshine and deepest blue skies. The building in Winston were standing out again in the distance.
I started the day with a sleep in until nearly 7:30. Of course we were up late the night before and then again last night as we played Euchre with the Botbyl's and Nymark's until close to 11, yikes its no wonder I'm sleeping in. I did my morning routines that ended with my solo hike to the top of the mountain finishing up my quiet time with GOD on my hike. We ate a lite breakfast of oatmeal and then I headed out to piddle around in yards and gardens. Nancy was busy as usual in the kitchen as we were expecting the other two couple for supper so she had a pot of beef vegetable soup cooking and oh the smell was awesome during the later hours of the afternoon. We ate a fresh garden salad to accompany the soup and crusty bread and then a pumpkin pie later in the evening between games.
The Botbyl's got here just after I finished up with the final mowing of all the yards for this year which was around 4'ish. We visited then Sheri and Stave came so we guys took off on a hike to the top of the mountain. Nancy and I had done one earlier in the day before lunch so that was my third hike for the day. Hopefully I can maintain as I'm sure not losing this spare tire, oh well. Well the yards look great after the mowing and now we are having a large group here on Saturday for a cook out so that made the place look great as the flowers are just about gone with many of them dead and dried up. So sad as they were beautiful this year. The deer were in my garden over night once again eating the pepper plant leaves which they have just about ruined. I'm still picking a few peppers both jalapeno and Bell peppers as well as a few tomato's.
The guys destroyed the gals 3-1 in Euchre games last night which is quite different with 6 players instead of 4. Tons of laughter along the way as well as lots of bantering back and forth. The next two weeks will se us eating together and playing games as well as another couple come next week for a couple of days and nights, LATER
