Friday Morning Mar 19th

Well we sure got a thunder storm last evening with some much needed rain. Only wish it had not poured so hard so fast as most of it went down the road, although the grass sure needed what we did manage to keep. I've been watering by hand twice a day but the wind has been very strong thus the drying effect. The wind also has nearly destroyed my huge tomato plants which are loaded with fruit. Some large enough to now fry which is one of our fav's. Once again I blessed our neighbors with leafy greens as they are maturing fast with all the heat.

I started the day much the usual with a before 6 roll out to my cup of green tea while I post this ramble and then some quiet moments with my Creator and Lord giving thanks and lifting up several for healing. Every one seems as well as can be expected. I got ready and headed out for the Rec on my bike a little before 8 for two good hours of pickle ball play. My stamina has returned and I'm probably getting back into decent shape but the weight or spare tire is still evident. Maybe I'm supposed to be 10 pounds over my once weight of 180, oh well.

The wind really picked up throughout the day after an overcast start which looked like big rain was coming but that held off until close to 7'ish when the lightning and thunder became a concern. Then the rain fell which was welcome relief but after awhile it to became a concern as it poured buckets. It finally let up after an hour or so. Nancy had baked or broiled a fresh salmon filet we picked up at Sam Club for our supper, along with some flank steaks as we entertain the Botbyl's and Tracy's for supper this evening. (Fri) I tuned into the Lightning hockey game and while they were losing after the first period they came back to win in the end after a real hard fought game between them and the Blackhawks.

Well after a hot shower I watched a little of the Life Below Zero in the Alaska area as the Oak Island Saga is over for this season and then it was lights out for me a little after 10, LATER
