Well Tuesday was another work day here in hot sunny Florida and from what I've been hearing the temps in mountains are rather nice as well. No really cold temps like we had the week before heading south, actually a little cooler temps here would be welcomed as it gets into the 80's daily. I started the morning with my well before 6 rollout to my routines that begin with some quiet times to honor my lord, Jesus, give thanks for another day and to lift several up by name, all seem to be holding with this post.
I headed out after a lite breakfast of just an orange to work in the gardens as I wanted to get my ton of seedlings in the ground before it got to hot. I managed to get all of them in the ground before lunch time and then hand watered them a couple times during the hot afternoon. I cleaned out the garage and was able to put the trunk inside last night for the first time since we left last May. I also gave it a bath for the first time since we left for the cabin. Its white and does not show dirt which is hard to believe. Today I'm taking it in to the dealer for a check up and oil change which hasn't been done since we purchased it new in April.
I'm still seeking bids on the removal of the big oak in the back yard and have received only one estimate which is reasonable but he wants to use ladders and ropes, but that means I have to take down a section of my side yard fence which means removal of the chain link and my side garden which is sowed with seeds, oh well. Maybe I can get some one with a crane which would mean not taking down the fence and saving the garden which really isn't that big of a deal.
I did some honey do's and then chilled after lunch starting a new read by Joyce Maynard who is quite the story teller. Nancy was off shopping and stocking up the pantry and fridges. She is making desserts for three occasions as we are at the Nymark's on Thursday evening for supper, then her Bible class Thursday morning and then something else which I don't remember. I'm off desserts and trying to not eat too much as I need to slim down a few pounds as I have doctor's check ups next week at the VA and I know I gained at least 10-15 pounds this summer. Everything tastes so good there and I was quite busy but still gained several pounds. I guess just not eat will do the trick.
I got word the pickle ballers at the Rec were concerned I hadn't showed up yet, but will do so this Thursday morning at 8 AM as Nancy is tied up all morning and most of the afternoon. I don't have any thing planned except working in the yards and gardens and getting back into shape some how. I guess cutting down on the food intake will help. She broiled a fresh salmon filet for supper with some fresh green beans and I ate lightly with only a little leftover rice for lunch and a handful of peanuts with my glass of vino around 4'ish. I do drink a lot more water here especially after sweating like crazy when working outside in this heat.
After supper I washed the truck until dark and then settled into ALONE on the TV after a shower. It was lights out at 10'ish for me, LATER
