Sunday Morning Sept 26th

Well this is the last Sunday for this month and will be our first in attendance at Cornerstone since Nancy contracted covid. I'm still virus free and feel great thus far. The morning here this past couple of days have been rather chilly but Saturday morning wasn't nearly as chilly and it turned out to be a perfect day for working outside. No frost thus far.

I started the day much the usual with a 6'ish roll out to my routines with the cup of hot tea while I posted this ramble then some quiet time to give thanks and honor my Creator and Lord and lift up several by name for healing. All seem well as can be expected. I took off on my early morning hike to the top of the mountain and had a venting with GOD out loud. I sure hope none of the folks on top hike that time of the morning as they would think there are a couple people hiking and carrying on a one sided conversation, oh well.

I came back and fixed some oatmeal with fruits and pecans for breakfast then headed out on the golf cart to the top soil quarry which is about half way out our road. I dug and hauled 5-6 loads of dirt for the backyard yard along the deep gully ditch. I want grass to come in there next year and there were some deep holes in that area. That kept me busy until lunch time and then I just piddled outside after lunch cleaning up some areas of fallen limbs and twigs and piling them into another pile for burning. The backwoods area is looking good.

I did take a couple hours and sat in the sunlight and read as the breeze was rather chilly in the shade. We decided or Nancy did, to not go all the way to the top of the mountain but instead walk up the steep back trail for her exercise. I had been up and down the back yard plenty of times throughout the day so I was exercised out. I pulled some Swiss chard and a few beet greens to go along with our shrimp, mushroom and garlic butter pasta for our supper, yeow delicious to say the least. After the clean up I tuned into the Rays game and they won the pennant for the American League and will have home field advantage going into the playoffs. Lets hope we can bring the World Series title to St.Pete, LATER

The flowers are still in bloom and the grass is green.
