Monday

Well Sunday turned out to be rather warm and humid with lots of sunshine and temps into the low 80's. We started the day like most Sunday mornings as we anticipated the long drive to Element Church in Tampa what we didn't know was the interstate was shut down to one lane throughout the night and morning for a lane shift due to the constant construction on I-275. Luckily we managed to get off and drive into downtown Tampa and pickup the crosstown toll road. After that we got caught by a slow moving train that held us up for another 15 minutes near the church so we made it just as the music started.

Benjamin Nesmith(one of the elders) brought the message today and he did a super job and then at end of the service Caleb our worship leader announced he had taken a full time (paying) job with another church in Plant City. He will surely be missed. There was a really good crowd on hand today with lots of new faces so the attendance is about the same even with Bobby on another month of sabbatical. There were lots of tears flowing with Caleb's announcement and Bobby's commissioning service for him as he and his wife leave us.

We came back the crosstown all of the way and avoided the interstate all together. The traffic is heavy and with all of the construction and it takes forever on this commute. Carol rode back with us as Dan had an elders meeting at Element so after dropping her off we headed on home to eat leftovers from last nights supper. Wow it was as tasty as the night before and that held me for the rest of the day. I vegetated on the couch reading and watching the Ray's lose a game they should have won to the Texan's. They go on the road for the next 9 days and hopefully will bring back a winning record.

We took a walk around the hood around 5:30 and it was still rather hot especially on the asphalt. I came back and hand watered the gardens and yards until nearly dark. I then read on Bobby's book  THE GREAT DARKENING  until it was shower time and then lights around 10, LATER
