Sunday Morning Sept 28th

Well Saturday started out with rain for most of the early morning until mid morning then the sun appeared and it stayed dry mostly until late afternoon. We received another inch of rain over night so we are definitely out of the drought and if these storms hit here we will have more trees up rooted like last fall. Speaking of Fall the color in the trees are evident as we travelled last week down the parkway and now as we hike up the back trail the yellows, browns and even a few red's are showing their colors. Many trees around the yards are also shedding their leaves with all this rain, oh well. I will soon need to take the leaf blower and put it to use.

I started the day with a 6'ish rollout to my routines that begin with some quiet times to honor my lord, Jesus, give thanks for another day and to lift up several by name for comfort and healing, all seem to be holding but I read where an old friend from our church in Seminole passed away last week. We were deacons together for years and Ron was good family man.

I head out to check on the gardens after stretching on the back porch and noticed where the deer had been in the gardens over night but since since they had eaten every thing to their taste I didn't notice a whole lot of damage. Their hoof prints were every where. I did pull some weeds after the rain stopped in the one flower garden which made it easy for pulling them as the ground was soaked. After a breakfast of oatmeal, cinnamon, honey, pecans and some blue berries I headed out to pick green beans and jalapeno's from the upper garden and got a nice mess of both. We decided to hike out to the mailbox so I took a sack of jalapeno's for Shirley on the way out. It was a different hike at just about a mile each way but with some good hills.

Well I skipped lunch except for some peanuts as I'm trying to lose a little of this spare tire and I've been taking metamucil once a day in hopes that will curb my appetite and I truly believe it has. Nancy even mentioned I looked slimmer, oh well. We used up the left over steaks from the other night for fajitas as I sauteed peppers and onions outside on the grill, delicious with sour cream and some jalapeno's on top for our supper. It was college football most of the afternoon and evening until shower time and then some reading until lights out around 10:30.

Today is corporate worship day both here at the cabin on line and then off to our local church in Sparta. We will probably eat out for lunch with the Frankis Family and then come back for some NFL during the afternoon and evening, LATER
