Wednesday Morning March 1st

Well Tuesday was a rather nice morning but it warmed up considerably by noon and then by late evening once again it became rather nice outside. Mid day's are hot and humid here on the suncoast of Florida. I started the day much the usual with a before 6 rollout to my usual morning routines that always start with some quiet time to honor my LORD, give thanks for another day and lift up several by name after posting this ramble. All seem as well as can be expected. I headed out around 7:30 on my bike to the Rec finishing up my talk with the Creator on my ride for some two plus hours of Pickle ball with mostly all good players. I left whupped and worn out for the ride home on my bike.

I worked in the gardens harvesting more leafy greens for another friend and then moved some lettuce seedlings into a different area so they could grow and expand as well as hand watered the gardens. The heat has really brought on the egg plants and I now had 11 on one plant in various sizes. I believe I have enough large ones for cooking. I found a recipe last year for parmesan which is so delicious and I'm excited to try it. No frying involved which is usually how we eat egg plant for that dish but this one is baked instead so no grease.

The recently sowed 1/2 runner bean seeds are up and sending out runner for climbing. I saw a couple of volunteer cucumber seedlings in the compost so I will set them out in hopes they will make. I haven't had good luck with them this year so far. I do have a few beets seedlings that are growing as well. The tomato plants are just loaded with fruit since I've been keeping them trimmed from suckers and growing out of control tall. I believe that has helped putting the growth into the fruit instead of the plants. The couple of Roma's we sliced thus far are delicious in taste and juicy.

We ate leftovers for supper tonight and will have them again for another supper since we prepared too much when we had company. Dee and Mike made it safely to South Carolina for an overnight stay and will head back to Woodstock today, LATER
