Thursday Morning August 11th

Well Wednesday was get ready for the company for supper so the day was spent cleaning, doing laundry and small piddly chores. I did some garden work planting some seeds for a late garden which usually gets taken over by by the cold in October, but I had some seeds that were getting old and I needed to see if they would germinate.

I started the day out with a before 6 roll out to my routines that start with some quiet time with my LORD after posting this ramble to give thanks for another day and to lift up several by name. They wanted to celebrate my big day once again with a card and gifts and a dessert Kathryn made with fresh blueberries. We visited then showed them the new game of Skipbo and we played a couple rounds before supper time.

I grilled a basket of fresh yellow and zucchini squash along with onions and fresh mushrooms and then a couple of boneless rib eye steaks as well as corn on the cob. Delicious. Patrick helped me clean up and do the dishes and then we played a game of Euchre which the gals won. They headed out before dark to their rental place west of Sparta. They have their close church friends coming on Friday for a week and we promised to have them on next Wednesday for a supper here at the cabin. We spoke briefly with Bobby who was on the ground from his business trip to Nevada, LATER
