Saturday Morning..Sept 21st

Well here we are in beautiful Woodstock, Va. at baby sisters home in the Shenandoah Valley. We had an uneventful trip up through the back roads of the valley after several stops along the way. The weather was perfect with bright sunshine and blue skies. We visited with an old friend on the way who blessed us with some family made apple butter and then Dee and Mike blessed us with supper at a local eatery called Southern Kitchen which specialized in fried chicken in a town of New Market which is one of the original 1700's town along the valley pike which is Route 11. Beautiful old homes and farms and a couple plantations with lots of Civil War markers of the various battles fought on this hallowed grounds aline this roadway with parallels I-81

Well we are relaxing, eating and enjoying family time and then Nancy and I will attend my 55th high school class reunion this evening in Winchester,  LATER
