Tuesday Morning

Well I'm happy to report the session with the endodonist went as well as can be expected.  He did take away the pain and while this is usually a one trip session it will be a two trip session for me plus some very high price antibiotics because of the abscessed roots of the molar that has two cracks in the enamel. The doctor thinks he will be able to save the tooth from extraction as the cracks did not totally split the tooth. If the roots split throughout the length of the tooth it has to be pulled and I was aware of that from my regular dentist. I'm just so very thankful for the pain relief and the care I received from this office. I've had a couple other root canals from them and they are pain free and very personable as well. One of the office gals always reminds me that I gave her husband his first traffic ticket when he was a teenager many years ago long before they married. It was a deserving ticket and they held no hard feeling as I knew his dad quite well. His dad knew about the offense before the son got home. That was one good thing that I always reminded Bobby of about the line of communication between officers and his conduct when away from home. Small world.

After the root canal I made a couple stops at the pharmacy and at Sam's Club before heading home and gassed up. Wow has the price of petro gone up almost 40 cents a gallon in the past couple of weeks, unbelievable!!! Nancy was watching Eliza while Amy shopped with GG and then they picked up Sam from school and all came for lunch. Eliza was napping and Nancy was making Sam's bithday cake for tomorrow's birthday supper and celebration at his house. I managed to eat a sandwich but the jaw muscles were quite stiff which allowed for a nipping effect only. I headed in to take a nap after loading up on antibiotics and pain relief. The doctor gave me an extra shot in the jaw with Novocain to help with the pain relief before I left the office and that worked until late in the afternoon. I have had very little pain and no discomfort to speak of since the procedure of course that is in comparison with what I went through for 3 days and nights which were excruciating at times, oh well not to digress.

After they left for the afternoon I ran GG home and then came back and hand watered the gardens. The temps in the full sun were in the middle to high 80's and Nancy had the a/c on but by late evening the sea breeze had given us some relief from the humidity and heat. I picked enough lettuce, sugar peas and spinach to add to what salad was left over and along with canned sweet peas and salmon cakes we ate well. After the clean up we settled into the Fox News but I was caught napping several times so about 8'ish I headed for the shower and by 9'ish I was sleeping in between the commercial breaks and finally just went to bed for good. The only thing was at 3 AM I was wide awake after being awakened each morning the past several days at that time with throbbing pain from the jaw area. Wow my body quickly adjusted to that time frame. I did manage to remain in the horizontal position until 6'ish before getting up at my usual time, LATER
