Saturday

Well Friday turned out to be another busy day with a big family supper to end the day and then Bobby and Gabe spent the night. The temps warmed up enough to once more turn the a/c on to get rid of the humidity but it was pleasant outside. The rain held off until late in the evening despite the gray skies for most of the day.

I started the day much the usual with a 6'ish roll out and then my usual routine of a hot cup of green tea, a few quiet moments, the posting of this ramble then a lite breakfast of cereal and fruit before pedaling out to the rec on my bike for some 2 plus hours of pickle ball. We had once again 3 courts in action with another 1/2 dozen waiting to get in the game. I had a wet shirt by mornings end as the play was that good with mostly advanced players. We said good-by to Dick and Gail who had been here for a couple weeks and added quality play to our group. They were flying back home to Pennsylvania on Saturday morning.

I did a little yard work after the rec while waiting for Bob and Gabe to arrive. They initially were going camping with Tyler and his kiddo's but the rain chances and gray skies kind of nipped that idea and it's a good thing as it poured during the night. Nancy was at her Friday morning Bible Study and then Amy and Tyler came for lunch. Bob took off to have Twill Auto look at some part of his vehicle and then he went to lunch with Neil and Danielle. Gabe and Sam were in their own little world as they played together with very little discord and eventually they spent the afternoon together as Ava went with Tyler and Amy.

I grilled chicken for supper and along with fresh carrots from the garden, baked tater's, broccoli and macaroni for the kiddo's we had us a feed. Nancy also made a carrot cake for dessert which was awesome using some real black walnuts in the batter. Oh my what a delicious different in taste they make. After supper and the cleanup Bobby, Tyler and neighbor John took the kiddo's to the Treasure Island Fun Center on Seminole Blvd for a couple hours to play arcade style games. The gals with neighbor Melinda(John's wife) came over for a visit with GG, Nancy and Amy, so I headed for the bedroom and tuned into the NCAA games and it wasn't long after 11, I was watching the inside of my eye lids, LATER
