Well Friday saw us with a mixed bag of weather and finally some much needed rain. The heavy rain came just as we got home from Sam's kindergarten graduation at Keswick. He was adorable and the program the three classes put on was very patriot in theme. Afterwards we met at the Village Inn for supper for some and just pie and coffee for others.
The day started much the usual with a before 6 rollout. I did my usual morning routines with a cup of hot turmeric drink, a few quiet moments and then the posted this ramble all before eating a lite breakfast of an orange and then riding out to the Rec. on my bike for a workout on the pickle ball court. I headed out a little before 10 and made a stop at the library before heading home to work in the garden.
Nancy was leaving with Kathryn to her last Bible study this summer and then a bunch of the participants were meeting at the Olive Garden for lunch. She left me a list of homey-do's while she was gone. I hung a load of laundry with the skies clear and blue and in a about an hour or so it darkened and the wind came up so the laundry came down and into the dryer. I did manage to transplant several tomato seedlings into a large pot from the ground. Most of the old seeds didn't make except three big boy and one celebrity seed did sprout into a seedling so I will bring them to the summer garden.
I did some touch up painting in the kitchen and hallway where toys and vacuum cleaners have left some dings as well vacuumed the house and then I finished up the leftover beef-a-roni for lunch. The skies turned nasty with blowing rain and the heat was almost intolerable outside. By late afternoon the sun was back out and one would never know it had rained. I did a quick horizontal lab while waiting for Nancy to get back from her luncheon and then read for most of the afternoon until it was time to grab a bite for an early supper before heading to the graduation. We picked up GG and took her with us. Sam was such a cutie with one of his front teeth missing. The program ran for nearly an hour and a half and Eliza was getting antsy with being contained in the auditorium. We were surprised it ran that long and finally the grand finally of the kids marching in caps and gowns to receive their promotion to the first grade.
Well after leaving the eatery around 9'ish we took GG ho,me and then tuned into the Ray's and Lightning games. The Ray's beat the Tigers at their home and the Lightning almost blew a 4-0 lead to the Penguins at their home ice and the game ended with a 4-3 win which evened the series at two games each. Today Saturday I'm taking the morning off from pickle ball to do some more outside yard and garden work and catch up on some things as we make ready to leave in just about a week. I need to get luggage down from the attic and start deciding what to take with us, LATER
