Well it's hard to believe this month is 1/3 gone already and we are anticipating the arrival of our daughter's family today. They were supposed to leave very early this morning(thur) but as they were loading their car they observed a nail in one tire and all of tire places were closed for the day so they have to be at Tire Kingdom when they open at 7:30 this morning. Oh, well the kiddos were so disappointed but it's better to be safe than sorry. It will be late when they arrive this evening so we will do the smoked ribs another day.
Wednesday, once again was another busy work day except for the late evening when I got in almost two hours of pickle ball with 4 other fellers. It was very humid and warm and I left whupped with a shirt that was wringing wet with sweat. I started the day with a well before 6 roll out as I knew I had lots on my plate especially changing out the kitchen faucet which has been in place for over 20 years. I did my morning routines that always start with my vitamins, cup of green tea and then quiet time with my Lord before checking e-mails and the world news with Drudge and Fox. Once again the dem's are trying their best to tie our Potus Trump to this pedophile Epstein when their hero Bill Clinton was a close friend had visited his sanctuary's many times. When will they ever quit excoriating Trump?
I started on the faucet and while getting everything else apart and loose I could not with all my might loosen the two bolts holding the old faucet to the sink. Luckily Brandon our renovation guy was in town and came by to assist. He needed a breaker bar which finally loosen the bolts which looked like they had been cross threaded during the original install. Well with his help we installed the new faucet that had the sprayer in the handle thus getting rid of the problem we were having with the hand sprayer an installed a soap dispenser in the hole in the sink. Much nicer and Nancy is pleased. He stayed for lunch and then we tried to fix the leak in the clawfoot tub at Gerald's place. The quick fix did not work so now he is looking at a reducer for this plumbing line which will probably be expensive to fix. Anyhow he was a life saver for me as I struggled for over an hour using WD40 and and even a heating torch but could not loosen those two bolts.
After lunch we got ready and headed to the meat market for our bone in pork loin that was cut into chops and a roast and then onto Food Lion for a few extras as well as Becca's for loaves of homemade bread. We are totally stocked up and ready for the family. I'm still having to engineer this new toilet paper holder as it had a stickem' on the back to hold it to the wall; dumbest thing ever as its fallen off the wall twice. I will drill a hole in it today, hopefully and then screw it to the wall.
Well we are disappointed the Ross Family will be delayed several hours as we were thinking about serving those delicious smoked ribs for supper but they will eat on the road and probably get here some time around 9'ish. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers for traveling mercies. This next week with be a flurry of activities, good eatin and some great fun times with family and friends, LATER
