Well Wednesday started out with overcast skies and the threat of rain so I didn't get much done on the house with painting except for a couple hours until around 11, when I did feel a drop of rain with the stiff breeze, but the rain held off for another couple hours until around 1. When it did finally hit it was a gully washer and rain flying in all directions, thankfully the paint had dried and held to the house which I was mainly cutting in underneath the soffits.
I had started the day with my usual before 5:30 rollout to my routines that begin with some quiet time to honor my lord, Jesus, give thanks for another day and to lift up several by name for comfort and healing, all seem to be holding with this post. Since I didn't do much except spend some time on the internet after hanging up the paint brush before lunch and then afterwards I started a new read and read for a couple hours as it was just to wet to do anything outside. I even took a cap nap after getting sleepy while reading. The new read is a novel by Freida McFadden titled COWORKER. She tells a good story but sometimes with a warped sense of humor and many real life experiences.
Nancy was busy cleaning out closets of baby toys, blankets, clothes and books so we could send them with a group of church folks going to South America this coming week on a mission trip. Some of the toys had dead batteries so we stopped on the way to church for new batteries. There was a good crowd at our 242 Meeting and pastor Derek spoke on the Bible itself which was very interesting to learn of the history of the many books that make up the Bible and when they became official and how and when it was put together and even how to read it, very informative talk. We met with our small group afterwards and our leaders daughter was in attendance. I mentioned to her that we had visited RP Funding in Lakeland where she goes to college and thats why we were there for Ava's basketball teams state finals and she knew Ava Mae and we had a conversation about how she knew our grand daughter and then her dad mentioned that he was both impressed with Ava and our grand son Sam who played Peter Pan in the school musical. What a small world. His daughters name is Anna Williams and she played the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz Keswick school play with Ava.
We got back around 8:30 and I did some internet checking on some info and then got ready for bed after watching a little of the ALONE show on the Roku before lights out at 10, LATER
