Wednesday Morning

Well Tuesday started out once again a bit nippy with temps down into the low 50's. Nancy had the heat on and by late afternoon it had warmed up to the low 70's with plenty of sunshine and the doors and windows were opened,  however there were some dark clods in the distance which maybe that front we are supposed to encounter later this week. After my usual 6'ish roll out to start the day and then a few quiet moments I headed out on my bike to the rec for some 2 plus hours of workout on the pickle ball court. We had 2 courts in action and while we were a mixed bag of players I just never got the wet shirt I've usually been having after 2 hours of continuous play. It felt good to be back on the court after the tournament play on Friday.

I stopped off at the library for a new read on the way home and the outside air had really warmed up by then after the chilly start. Nancy had driven her mom to the doctors office and I was supposed to pick her up if she called. While waiting for her call I harvested lettuces, beet greens, kale and spinach and cleaned them and put a salad together. I then started on making a guacamole for lunch when she called, so I dropped everything and headed out to get her. We made a vegetable stand stop on the way home for some Ruskin tomato's and sweet onions. Nancy was home waiting for us as she had finished her workout at the rec as well. Amy came with Sam and Eliza and we had a smorgasbord lunch with left over soups, guacamole, salad and of course Sam wanted his peanut butter and jelly sandwich. He was a little under the weather and didn't go to school for the day.

After lunch I headed out to hand water the gardens and feed some of my new seedlings as well as paint a post for my new mailbox that I'm going to set today. My old one is about shot so we bought a new white shiny one the other day and now I need to set the post in the ground. Amy and the kiddos all have runny noses and some coughing and I think they gave me the bug as well as I have a sore throat; however I've been loading up on Vit C and gargling with warm salt water and that has really helped. This morning the sore throat is gone for now and I'm getting a break up of some phlegm when I cough. Hopefully its going away with the proper eating and gargling.

After they all left and Nancy took GG shopping I settled into reading until supper time. Nancy made a shepherds pie as she used the leftover smashed taters from the other night and wow was that ever tasty. That's the first taters I've eaten in awhile and with the combination of ground beef, cheese and all of her ingredients it was very tasty and it was complimented by a fresh garden salad. After the clean up we settled into the Fox News network until the hockey game between the Lightning and the Canucks. I couldn't stomach watching our lying potus give his speech on the tube but did watch a very good hockey game and the Lightning prevailed once again.

After a hot shower it was soon time for some horizontal lab after the game around 11'ish, LATER
