Well the sunshine and blue skies are back and its so nice to be able to see distant views from the top of the mountain. We had a great day of worship at Cornerstone and afterwards we headed back to the cabin to get ready for some football and to snack on finger foods for our lunch. We had Carl and Stacy visit our cabin for the first time and it was a pleasure to show them around. They love all of the green in the area as its seldom seem where they live in Las Vegas. They are a fun couple and we so enjoyed their company and the time we had together. They and Steve and Sheri all worshiped with us as well at Cornerstone.
The Vikings which is their family team since they are from Minnesota did win and the Chiefs which is Stacy and Carl's team was losing when I hit the sack but the Bucs won big and the Ray's lost in extra innings on a questionable call or ruling, oh well. All of us visited the top of the mountain but Carl who just wanted to set on the porch and rock and stayed behind. Steve and I hiked and the gals rode in the golf cart. That was my second hike of the day and I needed it as I've put on a few pounds and inches this summer and we ate high on the hog again during the day and then again last evening with rib eye steaks, squash casserole and salad, oh well.
We did play a game of OH -ELL and Steve was the big winner and then we taught them Euchre but since it was getting dark and we hadn't grilled the steaks decided to call the game with the gals in the lead. They wanted to be home to watch the late football game between the Chiefs and the Bill's that started at 8:30. Well I watched until after 10'ish then hit the shower and was soon ready for some horizontal lab. We have a hike on Stone Mountain planned for this morning at 10'ish so I'll not do my solo hike this morning, LATER
Well its a good thing we are getting new cabinets this winter as the one pull out drawer came apart, oh well. I'll try to glue it back to get us through the month before Jake demo's the kitchen.
