Well Monday started out sort of dreary with a drizzle at time but the temps were very nice and we finally did see the sunshine around mid morning. I piddled down in my shed, building a shelf for storage after seeing our neighbor Mike's storage shed where he had built one in it. I still have plenty of room for everything that motor's into the shed and now I'm using some space which otherwise was unused.
I started the day much the usual after being up late watching the Bucs nearly lose to the Patriots, but come 6'ish that internal alarm had me up and wide awake. I did my routines that start with the cup of herbal tea that I have growing called Lemon Balm while I posted this ramble then spent some quiet time with my Creator and Lord in thanksgiving and lifting several up by name for comfort and healing. All seem to be holding as I make this post. I soon headed out on my solo hike around 7:30 to the top of the mountain having my morning talk with GOD out in the open.
I'm back to having an apple for breakfast and that held me until noon when I had a leftover piece of salmon on a sandwich. I cleaned out my large shed and threw away a bunch of unused items. I now have a storage bin that hangs down from the ceiling for 30 inches that is about 2 feet in width and 7 feet long which was unused space. I still have plenty of space for my riding mower and golf cart and all of the porch furniture when we winterize the cabin next month and head back south. That will be here before you know it.
Nancy was busy preparing a meal for our Cornerstone shut in and we took it to him a round 5'ish and then headed to the library for a couple new read especially Jeff Shaara for me. He is a great historical author and easy to read. She found a new author she likes as well. We then made a stop at Food Lion for a couple items before heading back to the cabin which was now after 6. She still had to bake our Shepard Pie which she took to our shut in so it was close to 7 before we sat down to eat which was delicious with broccoli on the side.
That was about it for the day as no baseball was on so I watched a couple documentaries on living off the grid which I find fascinating especially when small children are involved. Its much like the pioneer days which I would go back to immediately and we may have to if this country is forced into communism by this corrupt gov't, LATER
