Monday Morning Aug 11th

Well Sunday was a sunny day with much warmer temps which were welcomed after several days of cooler than normal and wetter than normal weather. It was just a near perfect day especially with the windows and doors open at the cabin and then for an after dark golf cart ride to the top of the mountain to watch this orange moon appear over the horizon.

I started the day with my usual before 6'ish rollout to my routines that begin with some quiet times to honor my lord, Jesus, give thanks for another day and to lift up several by name. All are holding and Zack is out of the hospital and doing fine. I headed out out to stretch on the back porch before wondering around the yards and checking on the gardens for any damage and to harvest any veggies that were needed picking. I picked up a red plum 'mater that had fallen off the vine and a couple other 'maters from the other garden and noticed the cucumber vines were starting to turn yellow. There are still several about ready to harvest as well and so are the yellow squashes. I'll pick them today after the rain stops which is now happening as I make this post. The almanac got this summer wrong as it was supposed to be very hot and dry here in the mountains and it has been just the opposite with the heat on at times and wet more than usual.

We watched Cornerstone Chapel before heading out to our Cornerstone in Sparta. Afterwards we met up with the Frankis Family at the Mexican eatery for a delicious meal that held me the rest of the day and evening. We came home and opened up the cabin and I tuned into the NFL until we took a hike to the top of the mountain and then neighbors Grant and Shirley came by and we taught them hand, knee and foot. We played three rounds after the girls gave up on the first game after two rounds as we guys were several thousand points ahead and so started a new came and it was close when they mentioned about going to the top of the mountain and watching the moon come up last night; so we decided to suspend play and head up to the the top for this event. Well we were there a good half hour before we saw the moon emerge from the clouds and it was majestic and beautiful to say the least.

Well we called it a night as they headed on down to their cabin and we headed up the driveway to ours as it was going on 10'ish. I soon hit the shower and checked the internet for the Ray's game scores and now they have lost two in a row, oh well, LATER
