Thursday Morning Jan 2nd 2020

Well New Years Day was awesome with weather that was perfect. Just enough coolness in the air with plenty of sunshine. We had all the family here except for Katie and the boys who were still at the hospital. Aunt Betsy and Gus were here as well which now is becoming their custom since GG passed away. We sent plates home with them for their two boys; Braden who works and Garrett who plays games on his xbox, oh well

We started the day a little later due to being up the night before. I did my usual morning routines that always start with a cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric and ginger while I make this post then spend some time with my Creator and Lord. All seem as well as can be expected as I lift several up for comfort and healing. We got word last evening the Tyler's grand mother in Kansas had passed away. She has been in a facility and suffered from dementia and alzheimer disease for years.

I piddled around helping Nancy prepare the big supper before Bobby came with Ann's and Gabe then we loaded up my bike and we headed over to Tyler's where we all took a huge afternoon bike ride visiting three different parks and play areas. It was just a beautiful day for being outside and NO humidity for a change. We did have one incident where Bobby lost control of his bike and flipped off to avoid running into the carriage that Eliza was riding in. Thankfully no serious injury just some scrapes and bruises.

The eatin' was fine with the usual first day of the years fare; sauerkraut and pork, smashed taters, black eyed pea soup, dogs, kielbasa and lots of finger foods before hand and Amy made an apple pie, delicious. Bobby and the kiddo's left around 7'ish and then we played a new game Amy and Tyler brought called Spy Master. It was fun. They left shortly after he got word his grand mother had passed which was somewhat expectant due to her health, LATER
