Well Sunday was an awesome day of worship corporately with lots of new faces attending our campus in Seminole. The weather was a bit nippy as the wind was rather brisk despite the sun shining. Lots of folks wore winter clothing and I even put on a long sleeve shirt for a change. We met up with several friends and missionary and his family at a barbecue house down town St.Pete before heading over to TGH to visit the "boys" and son Bobby in the Nicu unit.
I started the day much the usual despite it being a church day which usually has me rolling out around 5 to help with the load in at the college for BridgePoint Church, but the college has allowed us to leave our set up through the holidays since there were no classes. We will once again return early on Sunday morning starting net week to load in. One of the campus pastor's brought a powerful message which you and see and listen on the internet if your interested. Check it out at bridgepointchurchfl.com. We had great attendance despite several of our regulars still missing as we started a new series on "neighbors".
We headed straight from working the second service to down town St.Pete to meet up with friends the Tracy's (who bought our lunch", the Botbyl's (who we were celebrating his birthday" and a family who were missionary's to Cap Town, Africa. Apparently Patrick invited them and knew of them to my surprise. The food was plentiful and delicious and we had a grand time with the visit seeing via the smart phone the area they live and serve with a small mission group. That area of Africa is beautiful in scenery but with such a diverse culture and government and christianity is one of the lesser religions that competes with all sorts of sects. They have 3 small children and do love what their mission there is as they share the gospel of Christ.
We got to the NICU unit a little before 3 and visited for close to and hour. Katie has a cold and has been barred from seeing or even getting close to the boys for at least several days. Bobby was there and we had a grand time holding and making over the boys. Huck is gaining weight and flesh on his skinny frame and Ryder is contend with his far self compared to Huck. He is breathing good without any assistance and both boys are being a little more active each day.
We got back and I watched the NFL games as well as Lightning game. The Bolts won over a N.C. team for their 5th straight victory in almost as many days. The Saints got upset as did the Eagles in the playoff NFL games. All of the games were nail biters and two went into overtime. We decided to skip any supper since we had the big meal so I popped some corn the old fashion way which was delicious for a change. It wasn't long after some internet catching up that it was time for some horizontal lab around 10'ish, LATER
A couple pics of the boys
