Well we are on our last month of 2019, where has this year gone? Yesterday Sunday started with me up early around 5'ish or so to head out to the local college for the load in for BridgePoint Church. I was back home before 7 to get ready to head out for the two services we attended; one as a worshipper and the other as a worker in helping folks get closer to GOD. We love serving at the church/college which we transform every Sunday along with lots of dedicated volunteers. It's not an easy task each Sunday morning as we unload several huge roll on containers from two huge trailers into the building then set the area up for the kids, band, cafe and greeting stations both inside and outside as folks approach the walkway into the building.
The message is simulcast via three huge screen behind the band stage which each of the 3 campus's have except the the main campus at Tyrone where the production is live and then sent out. We started a new series this week after completing the Half Full series which was awesome for the past month or so. We are now in the Christmas season so this series is beginning with the prophets telling the folks of the coming messiah some 6-700 years before the arrival of the baby Jesus. Their expectations were dampen by the darkness that had entered their lives as the old testament era was coming to a close and before the prophet predications were to come true.
After helping to pack up the containers at the end of the second service which I helped to unload at the load in we headed home but on the way Nancy wanted a pizza for lunch along with a garden fresh salad; so I picked up one of Little Caesars hot and ready to go thin crust with tons of pepperoni's and it was delicious. That basically held me for the rest of the day as we both had donuts at church for a change. She worked the cafe the second service and I worked the outside door as a greeter and holder shaking hands and hugging necks which I throughly love doing as well as learning names. We had a good number in both services adding up to close to 250 worshippers plus another 50-75 volunteer helpers not including the kids. We are expanding here in Seminole and I saw lots of new faces as many of our regulars are still away for the holidays.
I vegetated on the couch watching the Bucs beat a team which had the same losing record as them and while they won they did nothing the second half which was or is their typical effort. At one time the other team was about to score but they too did a number which was consistent with their play by throwing an interception in the end zone instead of scoring, oh well. I watched a couple other games but then turned to reading for a couple hours before getting ready for some horizontal lab. My eyes were heavy by 9'ish and I must have fallen asleep while watching the late game. Luckily I got some sleep as Nancy snored from 1 o'clock on until I finally gave up around 5'ish this morning. I think I'll get ready to head to the spare room tonight when she starts the freight train, oh well, LATER
