Well Friday was a total work day except for the after supper golf cart ride. I started the cool morning out around a 6'ish rollout to my routines that begin with some quiet time to honor my LORD and give thanks while lifting several up by name. This morning I'm adding the Ross Family as they begin their vacation on their way here for a couple days and leaving their big dog Rocky before driving on to Kansas. They will then come back in a couple weeks for two more days and pick up Rocky before heading back to Seminole.
Friday morning was down right chilly which required long sleeve shirts through out the day and the temps hovered around 70's through out the day. It was a perfect day for working outside which I did and got a lot done especially after lunch when its usually to hot but not today as we actually sat in the sunshine at times to warm up. The gardens and yards are shaping up and I will mow again the morning to catch up some spots that were not mowed clean on the first cutting and then weed whack again.
I tore down the nearly broken down arbor as we decided to not rebuild it again. It takes a lot of effort every year to rebuild it back and we could seldom get any flowering vine to cover it during the summer and the weather takes it toll on it while we are gone for 7 months. There were other piddling chores as well too numerous to mention.
Well it was a sad night for the Lightning as they loss again to the Rangers and now are down 2 games out of 7 to be eliminated from the playoffs. Hopefully coming back to Tampa will give them a boost as they have already beaten two of the best teams in the league. The Ray's however finally put back to back wins together. I transplanted the collards and onions into the ground as well as some marigolds into the hollow tree stumps that Jake cut down over the winter. Most all the oaks have a hollow center and are useless for lumber but do make good firewood which Jake uses in his water stove. I give him the wood he just has to cut the trees to claim it, LATER
