Well Tuesday was another warm one with temps in the 80's but a nice breeze kept it comfortable as I worked outside until lunch time in the front yard. That was a chore I've been putting off and I filled three large rolling trash cans full of the shrubs and debris from around the front of the house. Nancy wants new landscaping so I'm getting it ready for a trip to the nursery for shrubs.
Not much to write about except I started the day with my usual before 6 rollout to my routines that start with some quiet time to honor my LORD, give thanks for another day and lift several up by name for comfort and healing. All are holding as I make this post. Since I'm not on the pickle ball court this week I'm catching up on some honey do's. I hand watered the gardens and picked 3 nice egg plants for our supper which was so delicious as we fried some and then Nancy made a delicious parmesan loaded with cheese and marinara sauce, yikes was that ever delicious. This plant has another 8 or 9 ready to harvest in a day or so so I'll be giving them away.
The recently transplanted lettuce seedlings are growing as is the new green beans plants. I'm noticing a few more tomato' showing some color and of course the leafy greens are maturing rather fast with these hot days. They soon will be gone as the heat destroy's them. Thankfully the well is strong with the new pump I installed last year and there is plenty of water for both the yards and gardens. I watched video during the hot afternoon and found on You Tube some FHP pursuits. I remember the days when I would give chase and eventually catch the bad guys but we never used the PIT maneuver which is now what they use when one will not stop. It works but can be dangerous if not use in a good area away from other motorist as the patrol car turns the perp around in a circular motion after making contact with the rear. There is usually some damage to the patrol car which was why this was never authorized when I was a trooper, oh well.
I tuned into the Lightning game after supper and they were finally winning over the Flyers before I hit the shower. Nancy got her new Ipad and was piddling around with it, she is happy once again as the old one lasted several years, LATER
