Well Monday found us with all kinds of weather from down pours to lots of heat and blue skies. It changed through out the day but we still found time to make a major hike to the top of the mountain as well as played with remote cars and helicopters through out the many periods of clear skies. We had an inch of rain in a short time and then a nice soaking rain and finally another hard rain after dark. I do believe we now have enough of the wet stuff for a week or two.
I started the day off much the usual with a before 6 roll out to my daily morning routines except I missed the solo hike due to grandsons awakening before 7. They are a bit off schedule and it showed a couple times through out the day but basically they ran and played when possible to be outside. They loved the golf cart rides and chasing the remote car as well running around the porches. We all ate well as grandma was on cooking duty and then I put two slabs of ribs on the smoker for about 5 hours and we nearly devoured both at supper.
It was a fun time with the all of the grands as well as board and card games in the evening after the twins went down for the night. We will keep the twins today as Bobby takes the older kiddos along with Katie on a zip line affair in Boone. I did it a couple years ago and its a big deal. We will have Skylar come for a morning play time with the twins so that should be interesting, LATER
