Monday Morning October 4th

Well Sunday was our last beautiful warm day for awhile here in the mountains as a front moved in during the late afternoon and the skies clouded up and rain began which is supposed to occur off and on for the next several days. So far no gully washers and the gentle rain that fell last evening was a welcome relief as its been days since we last had any measurable rain. The morning dews have been heavy which has kept the grasses green.

I started out the day with my usual 6'ish rollout to my cup of hot tea while I posted this blog and then spent some quiet moments with my Creator and Lord giving thanks and lifting several up by name for comfort and healing. We got word a friend in our life group at BridgePoint isn't doing well but she has been on our list for months and has been holding and our friend on top of the mountains isn't doing well either. I took my early morning hike to the top of the mountain and it was another glorious sunshine start to the day while I praised GOD openly and then vented about why so much hatred is openly shown in this nation that once was filled with love, compassion and honesty. It seems none of that is found in this "woke" attempt to change our culture. Our gov't leaders are corrupt, the MSM is so biased and corrupt and now there are those who we know who have grown up in the church openly supporting the murder of the unborn and this LBGT agenda on social media. Such blatant heresy if ever I have seen and to be so openly proud to share is beyond by comprehension. It's no wonder GOD has left us to suffer.

We watched some church services on the internet before heading out to Cornerstone for worship with many. Most everyone who was infected by the virus have recovered and are doing well. After the service we met with the Frankis's for lunch at the Pines Eatery for a delicious lunch which featured on the buffet fried and roasted chicken which I love. They had the usual other entrees but we all settled on the buffet. We saw some old friends there as well and then we headed over to look at how Pastor B's house is coming along after being gutted by fire last year. Jake has done their cabinets and they are absolutely gorgeous and ours will resemble at about 1/5 of the number of cabinets. Their place was totally gutted down to to the studs but is being renovated to the fullest and will be absolutely beautiful when finished. Jake is doing and helping with lots of the renovations and his work is stunning.

We made a stop at Food Lion for some groceries as Nancy is preparing a meal for a shut in from church today(Mon) then we are having the Luffmans' on Tuesday for supper and games and then we are at the  Frankis's (Jake Katelyn and Skylar on Wednesday for supper and games and then the Nymarks are coming Thursday just for supper and games then Dee and Mike on Friday for three days. So we will be eating high on the hog this coming week as we try to get in some of our mountain folks and family before the Tracy's and Botbyl's come for two weeks to close out this 5 month vacation to the end of October. Whew, there goes the spare tire and while hikes help its supposed to be rainy for this coming whole week as Fall enters into the picture.

I watched some NFL during the afternoon and every team but the Buc's lost in our division and the Bucs barely beat the Patriots. Some good teams lost and as the old saying goes on any given Sunday any team can win. I stayed up way past my 10 bedtime to watch the Bucs and it was close win to say the least, LATER
