Thursday Morning

Well we finally received the much needed rain along with lots of lightning and thunder to boot. At times it was a "gully washer" or "frog swallower" as some of the old folks use to say, but we had a river flowing down our street with a sheet of rain water running off the roof. After a couple of hours the rain settled down and into soaking rain which lasted for most all morning and then started up again around suppertime.

I started the day with my usual roll out before 6 as the internal alarm was working to my dismay. I was forgoing any pickle ball today as Nancy had an appointment with an endocrinologist in Safety harbor which is a good 20 miles or more north of us and at least 45 minutes time with all of the traffic so for her 9:45 meet we left around 8:30. GG wanted to ride with us and return a couple of pairs of shoes in Clearwater on the way back. It was a full morning spent on the road and at the doctor's office.

Well this female doctor who is of Pakistani descent and who studied at Duke University was very through, knowledgeable and most agreeable as well as really impressing both of us with her diagnosis and how we will handle this common malady with the thyroid gland which is enlarged on Nancy. She spent an hour with us comparing past an recent ultrasound images as well as lab results and how to properly take her meds for this condition. We left feeling much relieved with her knowledge imparted to us on this condition. We were concerned this condition may delay our return trip to the cabin and or require a biopsy; neither of those will be necessary. We made a stop in the rain at Clearwater mall for the return of shoes that GG decided she didn't like after trying them on before purchasing them last week.

We dropped GG off at her house at noon then picked her up agin around 4'ish so she could have supper with us. It was raining again when I picked her up after the sun came out during the afternoon and by dark the front had moved completely through and out of the area. We had beef burritos on a soft wrap loaded with fresh garden tomato's, cucumbers, onions and a jalapeno pepper on mine as well as some sour cream, taco seasoning and sauce. Yeow was they ever delicious!!

After the cleanup we settled into the Fox News and learned Trump defeated the other two candidates and they now have dropped out of the race. I certainly hope that he will stick to his promises to bring fair trade and jobs back to our nation and stop the illegals from coming into the country. I know the pundits and established politicians are scratching their heads that the folks of the country are sick of political correctness and I really thing while he values some liberal thinking in some areas he is really an anti-left candidate and mostly a populist. He says he will make these countries that are raping us with their economic policies now pay their fair share and we will no longer cause our nation to be seen as weak militarily. The folks have spoken with their votes and I'm impressed that he will lead us in the right direction to make us great again and a beacon of hope in the world.

Well the Ray's played the Dodger's and finally the bats came alive as they knocked the ball out of the park on several occasions and finally a win. It wasn't long after a hot shower and a few minutes of hockey that I was into some horizontal lab. Check out the pictures I posted yesterday of the garden's bounty and my beautiful white orchid which now has another bud and getting close to blooming, LATER
