Monday Morning

Well we visited a different church in our area as we search for a new place for corporate worship with fellow believers. I found the pastor was a great teacher and we were greeted by different folks several times and saw a fellow student friend of Bobby's from his old school. She is the singer for this praise band in their "modern service". She has a beautiful voice and was most friendly after mentioning our son's name. We will continue to visit different churches as I find this exciting to meet new folks and hear different speakers. We really like the teaching by Bobby's pastor in Riverview but that is just too far to travel each week plus it limits us getting involved or serving.

The day started much the usual with a before 6 roll out for me. After my usual routines of a few quiet moments with my Creator and my cup of tea with fresh ginger and turmeric I posted this ramble from the day before's activities. I had my apple for breakfast before we headed out to Crossroads Church in Largo which is just a couple miles from the house. There was a nice crowd of a couple hundred folks. The production was simple with the praise band and everyone was dressed casual and even a few shorts and t-shirts. The pastor spoke on Faith and had a great message using lots of teaching aids. I thought he was more like a professor than a preacher but he used plenty of scripture and enlightened us on the many facets that cause one to have faith in a Creator of the universe. Very enlightening to say the least!

We headed home and was back before noon with the start of the 10:30 service. Wow what a change that is from our travels to Element Church last year in Tampa and no traffic backups. I headed out in the back yard to give Ava's desk a final coat of paint after a peanut butter rollup with fresh chopped onions. I just love the flavor when those two are eaten together; I know that sounds weird but it delicious. Anyhow I got the desk pained and then painted the knobs a green color for Ava. She was thrilled and now she has her own desk to do her school work. The desk turned out nice and was very cost effective.

I tuned into the Bucs vs Saints game and once more they played terrible. The QB while playing great last week with a come from behind win played as if they were going to win on their laurels. The offense was just as bad as the defense and the receivers kept dropping the ball especially on important plays, Oh well. The Carolina Team is for real and could go all the way as they destroyed the Falcons who we barely beat last week. I look for them to win the big one in Super Bowl 50. At least they are in our division which doesn't say much for us as we are in second place with a horrible record, oh well.

We headed over to Kathryn and Patricks for supper  around 5'ish. The meal of fresh garden salad which Nancy prepared along delicious chili and muffins was a gastronomic delight. After the clean up we settled into a couple games of Euchre with the boys vs gals and it was a slaughter to say the least. The gals were sleeping with winners last night!! Well it was going on 9 when we decided to call it a night and head for home. There was a little mist of rain on the truck when we headed out but that was the extend of the rainfall. I don't think I  even turned the wipers on as initially I thought it was dew, oh well. Do we ever need some rain. I tuned into the last game with the Packers destroying the Cowboys so I flipped to the Alaskan Frontier Family and wow the scenery there is awesome with some real living on the frontier. I think I would like to try that type of daily business and survival, LATER
