Well Wednesday was another beautiful day that found me on the pickle ball court outside with 5 other players and we had great matches but I tore something in my left knee so I'm hobbling around and using ice packs. Guess I will be out of commission for awhile. I think it maybe a popliteal cyst that became inflamed as this happened once before years ago when I actually ruptured it. Dr. K had me rest and elevate it, ice it and take ibuprofen so I will start that right away.
I started the day out with my usual before 6 roll out to my routines that start with a cup of tea while I posted this ramble and then some quiet time with my Creator and Lord giving thanks and lifting several up by name. All seem well and now I could use a little prayer for healing in the left knee and leg, oh well. I came back after nearly 3 hours of play outside which was 47 when we started at 7:30 and 74 when we finished around 10:30. I just over did it I think which is usually the reason for the cyst to become inflamed and leak fluid in to the cavity, at least I'm hoping this is the cause of the pain and stiffness in the joint.
Well I puttered around outside hand watering and pulling some weeds until lunch time then I rested and read for a couple hours and when I got up the leg was stiff and not feeling right and it progressively got worst as the night went on. Anyhow we had to cancel our trip to Tampa to watch Ava play basket ball as I'm unable to walk any distance and Nancy can't drive at night in all this road traffic. So we will try to make her game on Saturday or at least Nancy will. She has a bad cough and shouldn't be out an about either.
Well us old folks(me) are starting to feel our age and so I must slow down when and if I recover from this knee issue. Seems we will put lots of things on hold for a couple days, LATER
