Well Thursday was a rather uneventful day as I did piddling chores to get ready for the big move to cooler temps and higher ground. Amy and the grands were busy helping watch a friend of Ava's so it was just Nancy and I for lunch then she was back to Target and then we met with our financial guy and attorney to update our trusts as its been 11 years since it was initiated.
The day started much the usual with a before 6 roll out to my usual routines that start with a cup of tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble and spent a few quiet moments with my Creator. All is well with those I lift up daily by name as we spoke with GG, Paw Paw and our "mountain mom" Helen. She is getting excited about our return to the mountains as are we. I got ready after my routines and headed out on my bike to the rec. for a workout on the treadmill and left with a wet shirt. I piddled around in the garden feeding my new seedlings which despite the heat are growing and should be large enough to transplant in the summer garden at the cabin once I get the beds in shape.
I took down the suitcases and coolers from the attic and we will begin to pack. It's always a chore as we throw out "stuff" we have long forgot about that is stored. I called our TV and Internet provider at the cabin and had those services turned and discontinued the use of our land line there except folks can still call us unlimited but we no longer can call out except for 911 and the phone company which will save about 20 bucks a month. Interesting. I put another service on hold here in Florida but we have to keep the monthly TV and Internet here because of the two year contract. I'm still saving money from what Spectrum was charging monthly, oh well every little bit helps when your on a fixed income.
I grilled peppers and onions and marinated chicken breasts for fajitas for our supper, yikes were they ever delicious. After the cleanup we settled into the Fox Cable News, the Ray's ball game which they lost again and eventually the Stanley Cup game before I hit the shower. I was whupped so by 10'ish I turned every thing off and settled into some horizontal lab. I will check the scores on the internet to see if the Cap's closed out the series in Vegas, LATER
