Well Wednesday was a fun day as we traveled down the parkway to West Jefferson to meet with church friends of Dee and Mike from the Winchester, Va. area. We shopped and walked around the city and then had a delicious lunch at the New River Brewery which must be one of the hot spots in the city as its off the main track but was hopping with business. I would definitely eat there again.
Mike, Bonnie and I got in a long early morning hike to the top of the mountain down the back road through Steves Place and up the steep driveway. Wow what a great exercise hike plus all the walking in the city streets. We ate big ay lunch and then just snacked for supper . It was close to 5'ish before we got back at the cabin the roads were wet and we did get some rain but not much later in the evening but any and all rain is welcome. The gardens seem to be showing some growth as well as the grass is finally greening up.
I did my morning routines before anyone awakened and came down although I missed my morning talk with GOD on my hikes. We spoke with Bobby before taking off on our journey and all is well with him and the family.We didn't hear from Amy today as they are busy and of course we are busy with company. We played games well into the evening and called it a day around 10'ish. Such fun we are having with Mike and Dee, LATER
