Well Thursday started out on the chilly side but quickly warmed up to t shirt and shorts temps but the ride to the Rec around 7:30 on my bike was a bit nippy. I started the day with a before 6 rollout to my quiet times to honor Jesus, give thanks for another day and to lift up several by name for comfort and healing, all seem to be holding with this post. I donned a sweat jacket and headed out for close to two solid hours of pickle ball play with mostly A player and won most of my games. We had a couple new good players for the first time and our stable is growing of good players. I'll go again this morning but its mainly B player with a few A's in the mix as its mainly a work out day whereas Tue and Thur it competition play.
I came back and worked in the garden as Nancy was off to her Bible study class so I was able to set out three tomato plants into the garden proper and the soil is like dust in the garden, so I dug my holes and filled them with water and then watered them again after setting them out. The garden is just a dust bowl and so I let the hose run for several minutes hoping to get it back to real soil again. There seems to be some compost in it but it so dry. All of the seedlings I've set out seem to be holding despite these couple of cold nights. I'm now hand watering twice a day until I can get the garden soil solid again and hopefully some earthworms.
I read and watched some ALONE episodes on the lap top during the afternoon after a lite lunch and then before heading out around 6'ish with neighbor Dan to our mens Bible study class I ate some leftovers for supper. We are in the book of Kings and it very interesting to say the least. Not much else to report except the warmth is coming back after those two winter days, LATER
