Well Tuesday was another fine day here in the mountains with a chilly start but eventually warmed up to t-shirt temps with tons of sunshine and deep blue skies. Beautiful with the many colored trees that are still bearing leaves. I started the day much the usual with a 6'ish rollout to my routines of some quiet time with my Creator after posting this ramble. Once again for some unknown reason I'm unable to post any pics for the days activities on this ramble, oh well. I finished up my talk with GOD on my solo hike to the top of the mountain once it got light enough outside to see the trail.
After breakfast I headed out on the golf cart to dig and haul one last load of dirt from one of the run off piles along the road which has loads of topsoil from the big rains that wash down the road. I had a couple rugged spots at the top of the driveway that needed filling in and a couple low spots in the yard. I then put up the long fence around the front of the cabin that will hopefully once again keep the hydrangeas in tact when we arrive next summer as well as around the well house that also has hydrangeas. The deer feast on them during the winter and this year was the first with tons of blooms. I've just about completed the outside chores for winterizing the cabin except for a few things that I do last day.
We took a golf cart ride out to the mailboxes and then up to check on Anne and Franks place. It looked like they just left for the day and their mums were still in bloom despite the cold weather last week. I planted mine in the circle bed and then I will known if that works for next summer as her's did beautiful over the winter last year. She and I are flower lovers as is Nancy.
Nancy made a delicious spinach casserole we were to take to the Frankis for supper but since they were having cold issues we decided to cancel and stay home. She also had a pot of October beans which we called bird egg beans on the stove for supper during the afternoon, yummy. We did get in a long hike to the top of the mountain around 4'ish and the weather was perfect. After the cleanup from supper we both settled into our corners in the cabin with me on the You Tube channel and she on HGTV until shower time around 9:30 then it was horizontal lab for at 10, LATER
