Well Friday was a busy day that found us sleeping in until nearly 7. This mattress here at Dee's is so comfortable that we always comment on we want it when they replace it, even though it was a second hand bed to start with. We had a delicious breakfast of scrambled eggs with fresh tomato's from the garden and toast with homemade apple butter.
Mike was gone to work and Dee was waiting on a service man for her washers and dryers so we decided to make a trip down town to Woodstock and walk around and explore the city which was built in 1752. We had an enjoyable time visiting several museums, shoppes and a brewhouse for lunch. The temps were moderate but by late afternoon the heat and humidity came on and then by suppertime we had a tremendous rain storm which lasted a couple hours.
Mike grilled fresh zucchini slices along with pork chops and Dee had fresh corn from her garden along with fresh green beans and bird egg beans mixed and they were delicious, yeow what a feed. Afterwards we got into a game of Phase 10 played a new way and I smoked everyone and then the girls smoked us in a game of Euchre, yikes a whupping.
The update on GG is she is back in Jackson Memorial in Miami because of new drains for her fluid retention and a bacteria that is the result of the drains. Hopefully only for a couple of days. She has plenty of family to visit her daily who live there which has taken some pressure off of us. Today we will visit the picnic which has turned out to be a family reunion each year in the beautiful setting at Gravel Springs Church. We will have food prepared by the church as well as good country Blue Grass Music which lasts most all day long. It's rather foggy this morning and there is the chance of rain but at least it won't be so hot as last year when the temps were unbearable, LATER
