Well its less than two weeks until Christmas where has this year gone. It was another warm and even hot in the afternoon after an overcast foggy morning to start the day on Wednesday. I did my morning routines that start with the proverbial cup of hot green tea laced turmeric and fresh ginger while I posted this ramble then spent some quiet time with my Creator and Lord lifting up several by name and giving thanks for my many blessings. All those I lift up daily and the lists grows larger almost every day but if thats what it take to get them healed, comforted and perhaps even a miracle then I'm all in.
I got ready and headed out a little before 8 on my bike to the Rec. for two hours of pickle ball. Its looking like this will be a short week for play as I missed Tuesday completely and then again this Friday as Eliza Faye has her Christmas program at school at 8:30. Saturdays play is a maybe as well as its the morning of the sleepover and 5 grand kiddos will be here for breakfast and then cookie makings. There is the chance I may slip out when Amy get here around 9'ish and head to the Rec., oh well.
I did get in some garden work spading up the old lettuces after harvesting it and processing it for future use. That was the last of the lettuces I brought back from the cabin garden but I have plenty new seedlings that should be ready for harvesting in a week or so. I harvested a dozen or so red radishes and they were beautiful and oh so sweet. I use to fly with a fellow who always said he would kill for a good radish. I believe he is gone now as I've heard nothing from him and his pal who use to keep in contact for many years after we left the USAF. They were both a few years older but heavy smokers and drinkers and its been 20 years or more since I last heard from them.
Nancy was off shopping which she loves to do especially during the holidays. Her tooth seems to be doing fine after the 3 grand make over but I know the pain she was going through and no one pulls teeth anymore which is almost as expensive to do as saving the tooth. I piddled around outside until lunch time as it got real hot when the skies cleared from the unusual fog which hung around until close to lunch time. I finished up the Mexican rice for lunch then settled into the internet watching some of the hoax hearing. The dems are in big trouble and I think most common sense Americans see where the false impeachment hearing is going. They can not accept that Hillary lost after spending a billion bucks to get elected and that Trump is going to expose their corruption in the gov't.
Nancy chicken fried some deer steaks which were awesome. That was the last pack of steaks and now what neighbor Gerald gave me in October is all ground hamburger style deer meat and sausage. The back strap of a deer is so tender and delicious what flavor and so good for you. We had broiled asparagus along with a fresh garden salad that now includes everything but the red cabbage, tomato's and cucumbers. The tomato's plants are heavy with bloom and the cucumber vines are starting to send out runners and cabbage takes up too much room plus when they are ready to harvest you have an abundance of them. We settled into the Fox Cable news and its all about the fake hearings to impeach our duly elected potus Trump. Such a disgrace to the nation and our enemies love to see this nation divided but finally the repub's are standing firm and now fighting back for this potus and the country, LATER
Supper last evening.
