Wednesday

Well Tuesday started out much the usual with a 6'ish wake up and then my usual routine before heading out to the rec on my bike for some 2 hours of pickle ball. We had a small turn out with 7 players but that was just enough to give you an occasional break. My shirt was soaked by 10 AM and I was ready for a cooling off period. I headed home and got cleaned up as I had an appointment at the VA to have my left hand treated for Dupuytrens contracture of the left little finger.

I learned the doctors at the VA or at least those in the main hospital serve a 4 month rotation from various hospitals in the area as the doctor who injected me is from Tampa General Hospital. He injected my tendon or cord several times that had caused my little finger to draw up which would not allow me to lay my hand flat. There was a little pain involved but the real pain is going to be when they break the cord and split the finger to straight on Thursday; at least this procedure is less invasive and non surgical in nature.

Amy, GG and the kiddo's came for lunch then I started experiencing some discomfort in the treated hand so I finally took some Tylenol and laid down reading for the next couple hours. I have to keep the area dry so it took a couple baggies to keep the hand dry while showering but at least I didn't have to do the dishes for a change. I just chilled the rest of the day and finished up some reading. The weather here has taken another drastic change with a cold front coming through once again. Severe weather bulletins were posted and the black clouds did bring some rain but mostly it was wind, thunder and lightning. Well that was about it for the day as I grilled some marinated chicken breasts for supper and then we vegetated on the couch until it was bedtime, LATER
