Friday Morning May 14th

Well Thursday saw us with some cloudiness and a small rain shower which didn't do much except hold the high heat down and barely settled the dust. But any and all moisture is welcomed. I started the day off with my routines of up before 6 to my cup of tea while I posted this ramble and then some quiet time with my Creator and Lord giving thanks and lifting up several by name. All seem as well as can be expected as I've heard nothing to the contrary. I drove to the Rec. for two hours of pickle ball a little before 8 as I had a VA appointment for my 6 month eye check up after pickle ball.

The play was great and I left whupped and got to the VA several minutes early and they took me right in. Everything looked good and the eye sight is still 20/20 and no further progression on the issues I had first been checked for. The eye vitamins have really made a difference in the issues that had me being checked for in the first place a couple years back; glaucoma and macular degeneration. Thankfully everything is normal. I came back home for lunch then headed out to Sam's Club to pay for the new tires for the truck which still have the original tires when I purchased it in 2017. The Hankook tires have been awesome thus far with still plenty of tread at 50 K miles but since there was a sale on and I wanted new tires I decided to purchase them before we head out this summer. I left there and spent the next couple hours at the Ford dealership getting the truck serviced as well.

We had leftover lasagna for supper which was even better than when we first had it on Sunday. It seems the tomato sauces permeate the pasta and give it such an awesome flavor. I settled into the Ray's game after the cleanup and their bats finally came to life against the Yanks. That was about it for the day as most of the afternoon was spent reading while waiting on the truck to be serviced, LATER
