Well Saturday was a more more subdued day with just the two of us and while we love company and family visiting it was nice and relaxing for a change. We did take down and store all of the Christmas decorations as the real tree was very dry and really dropping its needles. We did hang a couple of pictures and I did ride my bike to the library after lunch. The heat wave is still upon us but the humidity level may have dropped just a little as I didn't work up a sweat on the bike ride in the 80 plus temps. What a difference from the west coast as Lake Tahoe had 2 feet of much needed snow and the southern states are getting rains that are causing floods. I spoke with Paw Paw in Winchester, Va. and he said its cool there with constant rain.
I started the day with a sleep in until 7'ish wow did that feel good for a change. After my usual morning routines of a few quiet moments with my Creator and my daily discipline on personal growth I posted this ramble before heading outside to hand water the gardens and feed some of my new seedlings. The squirrels are hard on them and now I think I may have to use some Sevin dust on the lettuces as something is stripping the leaves at night. I have a feeling its the snails or slugs that are back and having night time snacks. We decided after lunch to take down all the Christmas decorations and store them in the attic. That kept us busy for the rest of the day and evening. We finished up the left overs for lunch and supper and still have some for today.
I tuned into the college football bowl games and saw a real barn burner between Indiana and Duke and then a another game between Washington and Miami in a snow storm in Texas. Those were some of the biggest snow flakes ever and the Hurricanes lost in a good game. I then watched the Lightning win big at home against Columbus 5-2 and then it was time for a shower and some horizontal lab.
Don't forget today is worship day to our Creator. So find a church and take an hour or so and give thanks and some of our blessings back to support this huge part of our culture. We are about to lose this in America because we haven't been faithful and now we are letting this strain of radical Islam into the very fabric of our society which is frightening. Our principles in the Judeo-Christian philosophy is about loving each other and its a choice whereas its just the opposite with Islam. If you don't agree with them then your ripe for being slaughtered and their teaching are just the opposite of love. Believe me when I say its insidious within the confines of our nation and growing stronger daily because we have failed leadership in this government that allows or supports this religion and not Christianity, LATER
