Sunday Morning December 2018

Well here we are in the last month of this year and it feels like summer outside. The mornings are cool but by the afternoon its a/c time again. The garden loves these cool nights but does require lots of watering a couple times a day. Thankfully I have a shallow well which seems to be abundant in water for the gardens and yard.

Saturday morning after my usual routines found me once again on the pickle ball court for nearly two hours of constant play. There are usually a few players that do not come during the week so it was good to see a couple of new really nice A players in attendance. I worked up a sweat then headed to the house around 10'ish to work outside until lunchtime which found me finishing off my leftovers from Cracker Barrel the night before.  Nancy was off to the mall shopping which has become her past time. I did some hoeing and transplanting but mainly gave the gardens a good drink before working in the front yard once again weeding and watering the grass. I'm determined to get the zoysia grass to cover where the old grass died this summer and it starting to look like the extra care is paying off.

I read for a couple hours during the hottest part of the afternoon until Nancy got back from the mall. Her sister Betsy came by for a visit until we had to leave for our life group around 5:30. Nancy made a huge pot of tortilla soup to take with us to share long with several other soups and chili's the other members brought. We had 15 in attendance and then after eating we played bunco which is a fast game and so much fun. The Nymarks are excellent hosts and their huge house is just made for entertaining. It was nearly 10 before we left for home as we shared praises and prayer requests in the group.

I headed out this morning a little before 6 for the load in at the college for BridgePoint Church, LATER
