Well its been foggy since Sunday and that has helped with keeping the temps mild. There has been very little sunshine except after lunch which has brought the temps up an into the upper 70's. I'm hoping the rain holds off as I have everything exposed in the back yard waiting to put together the new plastic shed. I finally got rid of the metal shed along with some old rusted unused tools to a scrape metal gatherer who came by around 9'ish.
I started the day much the usual but did manage to stay in the sack until nearly 7 as I knew I wasn't playing pickle ball with the scrape metal man coming. I did my morning routines that start with a cup of green tea laced with turmeric and ginger while I posted this ramble and then spent some moments with my Creator in humble thanksgiving and lifting up several to Him. All seem well but I'm afraid our nation and Christianity is under seize from the left and the radicals in the congress. Please keep the conservatives in your prayers for this nation and those who love and practice Judeo-Christian mores.
I headed out in the back yard to begin carrying the pieces of the jagged metal shed to the driveway when the man came with his trailer and we loaded it up without any more cuts or abrasions to our bodies. I piddled around in the garden then Nancy took off shopping so I painted the bench seat in the kitchen and then the bench on the front porch. We are having about 25 folks or so here on Saturday as our life group is doing a progressive dinner and the salads are being eaten here. I'm hoping to get the back yard into shape after putting together a new shed which according to the reviews should be done in a day with two people building, oh well. Getting the old rusted shed down and moved out was a major chore. We headed to Sam's Club for some more shelving as I canned the old rusted metal ones to the scrape metal man, this new shelve is resin or plastic and will handle what the two other shelves would.
I put it together then saved one wooden shelf from before and made it a little more sturdy. I'll have to built a shelf inside the shed for my tools along the back wall but that shouldn't take long once I get it constructed. The squirrels had another hay day on my tomato plants chewing off the top of several while we were gone so I added more wire to the top of that row. Thankfully so far they have only decided to chew one row of plants on the other side of the garden away from the bay window. They look in the window to see when I'm coming out and then take off. I managed to clip one last evening with the BB gun but didn't cause fatal damage much to my chagrin. Hopefully he will stay away from this side of the fence.
I grilled marinated chicken breasts with fresh rosemary for our supper and after the clean up we settled into the FOX CABLE NEWS network. I only trust what they report and while there are a few during the day who should be reporting with CNN and MSNBC as they are very biased as well with their reporting. You can hear it in their comments of their hatred for this Potus. Well that was about it for the day as I started a 5 book series by Dennis Lehane until it was time to turn the lights off a little after 10. ish, LATER
