Well Friday was a day filled with several different emotions as we attend the funeral of Katie's grand father who every family member called Papa or to the rest of us Don. What a celebration of his life at 95 years young. We got to meet several cousins who flew in from around the country in person and so many through the hundreds of photos shared on the screen. It was a military internment at the grave side which was very impressive as well as Navy personnel played tapes and folded the flag and handed it to the oldest of his 4 son's.
I started the day with my usual before 6 roll out to my routines that start with some quiet time after posting this ramble to honor my LORD, give thanks for another day and to lift up several by name for comfort and healing; all seem as well as can be expected due to ages and health issues. I headed out to hand water the gardens before we left for Tampa around 9'ish. We met at the funeral home in Riverview which took us over an hour to get there due to traffic which is so congested this time of the year. We had a great time meeting several new folks who had been on his late wife's side of the family who flew in from different cities and after the grave side service we headed over to Bruce and Lynn's huge house for a cantered luncheon around 1'ish. We stayed there until after 3 before heading back to Pinellas. We met some really interesting and great folks and it was awesome to be a part of the family which Don so enjoyed during his life.
It was another dry day until late evening when we got a huge rain storm which was welcomed but it washed all of my Sevin dust off the tomato plants. I'll have to redust them again this morning because the fruit flies are very destructive. We will miss Gabe's baseball game this afternoon as we have dinner plans with a new couple from church along with the Botbyl's. Tomorrow we lose an hour as the DST starts once again, LATER
