Well Sunday was a busy day with great worship, a family dinner and lots of sunshine. It was just gorgeous but with a house full of family by late evening we had the a/c on again. I started the day very early as I headed to the college across the highway for the load in for BridgePoint Church and then we each worked one service and then sat in together on the second service and got home by 12:45.
Nancy was busy in the kitchen preparing a birthday celebration meal for Annsley and Gabe and then we found out that today was Megan's birthday as well which made it even more special as she and Austin have moved from Charlotte to take a CFO job with a huge corporation here in St.Pete. They have always been a special couple to us and they became a couple at our mountain cabin many years ago when their families visited together. She turned 31 today and Austin has been fascinated with her since she was 11. They have two adorable little boys and now will be included on our family dinners as both Bobby and Katie have a great relationship with them plus they have no other family here in the area except for in Miami.
Nancy prepared a delicious roasted lamb along with smashed taters and gravy, corn, broccoli, crusty bread and salad as well as a chocolate cake with chocolate icing. I passed on the dessert as I had several pieces of bread. The vino flowed as well before and during the feast. Gabe opened his laser tag present and the boys along with Bobby and Tyler played hard before supper was served and Annsley and Ava had a fun time with Annsley's presents. Little Eliza Faye was not feeling well so she slept through the whole party.
Well after the cleanup which was extensive everyone left for home as Bobby had close to an hour drive and Austin lived in south St.Pete which is probably a good half hour or more. They will move into their rental home on Snell Island tomorrow which they started unpacking today during the day. Bobby and Katie helped while the kids all played together and they have already met their neighbors who have children the ages of their two boys, Wesley and Tyler. They are thrilled their school is within sight from their house. Megan wants to garden so I will help her with getting that started as well.
Well after a hot shower I hit the sack just before 10 as it had been an early start for me. Nancy now has a head cold which isn't too bad and I'm still recovering from my cough which is lingering but nothing like before. I need to get back on the pickle ball court today and start working out. We are all heading to Brandon on Thursday for the big Thanksgiving dinner with our family, Katie's family plus Austin's as well as Betsy. She joined us last night as well, LATER
