Well Sunday saw us with a little moisture through out the biggest part of the day. It was a good soaking rain but just not quite enough to make up for all those dry hot days. It did cool down the day and this morning which was greatly welcomed. I believe more is in the forecast which the yards and gardens will welcome.
I started the day with my usual routines of rolling out before 6 to my quiet time after posting this ramble to honor my LORD and give thanks for another day while lifting several up by name. I continued my talk with GOD on my solo morning hike. On a sad note the Lightning lost last night to the Colorado team and a 3 repeat is gone after winning the prized trophy the past 2 years. However they had a great season beating some of the best teams this year but I believe they were tired and just worn out and it showed in the last period. On a high note the Ray's swept a good Pirate team yesterday afternoon at the Trop in St.Pete.
The church service was good and we had a large crowd to hear Pastor B's message and the worship music was awesome as well. Lots of his family was in town for his surprise 50th birthday party and we saw all of them again at the local Mexican eatery where we ate for the first time this summer. The food was good as it always is. We made a stop at Food Lion next door and then again at the meat shop for some half runner green beans as the local vegetable stand is closed for what looks like good. Not sure why but that family that runs it has had issues with drug use. So sad as we knew the patriarch of the family who started the business and was a hard worker. We stopped at our mountain mom Helen's place to bless her with the beans on the way home and visited for awhile. I cleaned out her a/c filter/vent for her as it hadn't been cleaned in a year or more as I had cleaned out ours which hadn't been cleaned since last year.
After the Ray's game I took another solo hike to the top of the mountain and across the top. A few folks were up enjoying the cool temps and the light rain which gave everything a small drink. I had enough rain in the gauge to pour out but not enough for a good measure. I chilled the rest of the evening as we spoke with son Bobby who was on his way to California on business for this next week.We had such a large lunch that I passed on any supper except for a glass of vino, LATER
