Well Monday started out with overcast skies and a light drizzle which occurred for most of the morning. The light rain over night was welcomed for the gardens and the grass. It also started to cool down as a late evening front approached the area. We've had more cold weather this past couple weeks than we had all last winter with already a frost, oh well.
I started the day much the usual with a before 6'ish roll out to my cup of hot green tea while I posted this ramble and then spent some quiet time with my Creator and Lord, giving thanks and lifting up several by name. Tyler's mom and dad need prayers as both of them contracted this virus and she is in the hospital in Kansas. Seems they were infected by a family member who had been exposed to the virus, oh well. She has a few health issues so she is in dire need of divine intervention. Everyone else that I know of are doing well.
I headed out on my bike a little before 8 to the Rec for two hours of pickle ball play and had a good workout once again with two courts in action and some good players. I headed home in a stiff northern breeze with some light drizzle so I didn't have to hand water the gardens today. The recently transplanted beets and Swiss chard seedlings seem to have benefitted from the light rain. I was worried since we will be gone for two weeks over Christmas and New Years that the garden would dry up as Amy and Tyler will be gone as well; but Patrick offered to come down once a day and hand water the gardens for me, so I should have it in decent shape for when I return.
I'm not playing any pickle ball today as the water softner folks are coming at 9 to install a new machine so I'll be busy this morning getting ready for them. I sure hate to miss a day playing but thats the time slot they had for the new install, oh well. I'll just have to take a long bike ride in the afternoon to keep up the cardio exercise.
Nancy was in the kitchen with her Christmas cookie baking event all day and I even helped out after lunch with washing pots and pans for her. I think she is finished as she has tins out for packing the cookies and giving them way. So far I did eat two ginger snaps and one buckeye but it takes will power to not snack on them. She not only bakes for the family and neighbors but the post man as well. We ate leftovers for lunch and then again for supper as we headed out to Ava's school to watch her win again. She played hard and scored several points. It was a late game for a change so it was going on 9'ish before we got back home. The hot shower felt great and I was soon under the covers as the night air was cooling down.
That was about it for the day as today is a big day to see if the SCOTUS will take up one of the fraud election lawsuits. If so there is a chance the corruption will be exposed and Trump will be re-elected which happened according to all the legal votes cast. It's the illegal ballots the dems entered into the corrupt voting machines that is causing all of the concern of an election being fraudulent. The dem's and MSM are playing up Biden as being the president elect as they are complicit with this corruption. Anyhow what ever happens look out for violence to be on the fore front once again. Our nation may never recover if the fraud election is not over turned, LATER
