Well Saturday started a little warmer than the past couple of mornings. It was chilly to start before it warmed up enough to work outside in shorts and t-shirt which I did after getting back from delivering veggies to neighbors. I blessed 5 different neighbors with tomato's, kale, Swiss chard, jalapeno peppers and several pots of volunteer Rose of Sharons seedlings that came up in my garden patches. After making these deliveries I worked on the stump getting it ready for the final burn on Monday, weather permitting. I dug out and around and under the last of the stump roots so I can get fire down and under for the last burn. I'm going to miss this stump as we have become some what friends for the last month or so with almost daily attention; not ready as it has cost me a recip saw a couple of drill bits and some lingering aches and pain in my arms, wrist and hands. Having them gone will make the mowing in that part of the steep yard so much easier, plus they were an eye sore to me.
I started the day with my usual well before 6 rollout which is any where between 4:30 and 5:30 depending on how loud Nancy's snoring gets. I'm back to wearing ear plugs at night and it makes a little difference on the decimals, but not much and I'm constantly badgered about my loss of hearing as I hate those hearing aids and still she is loud, oh well. I did my usual routines that start with some quiet times to honor my lord, Jesus, give thanks for another day and to lift up several by name for comfort and healing. My son, Bobby is getting better with his sinus infection, so that is a blessing and everyone else seems to be holding with this post.
I did some reading on the deck during the afternoon which was delightful with the warm air on the shaded deck. After finishing up on the dig around the stump and a lite lunch I didn't do much until it was time to head out to the Luffman Farm for supper and Sequence. Mechelle has about 30 Gypsy Vanner horses which are gorgeous to say the least and she now leases out her studs and a family was bringing their mare for breeding down from Roanoke, Va. Well they were 4 hours late in getting here so our supper plans were interrupted but we still ate and played the game. Mechelle eventually joined us and her parents and Billy to eat and play the game. Well it was a night for the gals as they swept the floor with us in 5 straight games. I had to play Harvey Hand ( which is two hands)as we could not talk Billy into playing, oh well.
We got back at the cabin around 9'ish then it was shower time for me and some reading in bed until lights out at 10. Today is corporate worship day both on line and here at Cornerstone in Sparta and then lunch out with the Frankis family, LATER
