Sunday Morning May 3rd

Well Saturday was a total fun day with family as we headed back to Brandon around noon and stayed close to 7:30 before heading back to Seminole. We met up with the Ross Family and had a grand time loving up on all 7 of our grand's. It's the first time the Ross Grand's have been able to be up close to the "boys" since this virus hit and quarantined everyone. Bobby had a brisket in the smoker and all of the dishes we brought made for some excellent dining out by the pool.

I started the day much the usual with my 6'ish roll out to a cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble, spent some quiet time with my Creator and Lord in thanksgiving and then lifting several up by name for comfort and healing. I've heard nothing to the contrary so all must be holding for now. The nation seems to be controlling the spread of this virus and folks want to get back to normal; if there is such a thing as normal. Folks want to be out and about as well as go to work and to socialize. I do think there will be many constraints on how we meet and greet strangers from unknown origins due to this virus being so contagious, especially around folks with preexisting conditions and advanced age, oh well. I suppose my hugging days as a greeter at church will be something of the past except for those we know quite well and even then I suppose I should curtail that as well.

We met up with the Ross Family(daughter Amy) and their 3 kiddos, Ava, Sam and Eliza just a few minutes after we arrived around 1'ish in Brandon. The boys were just awakening from their naps and gave everyone big smiles. Little Eliza is just taken back by the boys as she still plays with doll babies and these little boys are the real thing when she pretends with her babies. Bobby took us on a tour of the huge church property close to his house which had some great riding for us bikers, down steep grassy embankments as well as some paths. Bobby, Tyler and myself took Gabe, Sam Ava and Annsley on the 45 minute or so bike ride that ended back in their neighborhood which is safe for riding bikes for kiddos. There are only two ways into the 'hood and you seldom find any traffic except for the folks who live there. It's a beautiful old area and most of the folks know everyone who lives there as well. We rode all of the streets before heading back to the house for a dunk in the refreshing pool.

The sun had moved around in the back yard which put the play/tree house in the shade so we put the boys on the basket swing and they took their afternoon naps together while being swung by several who watched them and made plans for the up coming months. There was talk of spending Thanksgiving with the Ross Family at the cabin this year and then talk of the Triplett Family spending Christmas at the cabin this year. Such plans will mean extra trips back and forth for us as Nancy will not like spending the cold months that precede both of these holidays; but we will see. Just maybe she will give in and accept 2 months of staying there until the new year, oh well. It would be a big change for us as we usually leave the first week in November.

Bobby had the hot tub heating for the boys when they awakened from their naps and they loved being in the warm water. The pool itself was quite refreshening and a delight after spending moments in the heated water. Everyone gathered around while the boys kicked and splashed in the pool. Afterwards we got into a game of Kubb with Bobby and the girls vs Tyler and myself. It was a fun time as we worked up an appetite for the delicious brisket, baked beans and decadent mac and cheese as well as a fresh salad. Nancy had made a double batch of chocolate chip's and we had leftover brownies as well.  The older kiddos entertained themselves throughout the day as they love getting together.

Well we were whupped after getting back home and unpacking and I soon hit the shower. It has been a non stop traveling to Brandon, preparing food and enjoying family but I was ready for a rest. However today Sunday it starts again with meeting friends for breakfast at their house to worship together on line at 8:30 and then again later in the evening as we have a get together with the same friends regarding a watch party for the movie UNPLANNED. It's looking like another full day of friends, food and socializing at a distance between each other, Oh well, LATER
